INTERIOR DESIGNER STORIES (P.2)

Interior design is a specific profession, which asks for an understanding of art, history, philosophy as well as knowledge techniques... Since ancient times, people have been able to use animals, plants and trees drawings to decorate their rooms. Interior design has inspired for living space, giving us a sense of comfort and convenience. Design interiors is devided into many different forms based on the objects it applies to: office design, showroom design, store design, house design, apartment design...


Interior design plays an important role in our life; however, just few people know how it was born and developed. Let join Akia Architects in reviewing the history to the Stone Age, Middle Age and Modern Age to better understand the origins of interior design!


 

Stone Age

 

Người ta đã tìm thấy các đồ nội thất bằng đá ở Skara Brae có niên đại khoảng 3100–2500 Trước Công Nguyên. Thời bấy giờ ở Orkney gỗ trở nên vô cùng khan hiếm, những người dân của Skara Brae đã dùng đá làm vật liệu thay thế, đá được sử dụng để làm bàn ghế, tủ và cả giường. Những chiếc tủ đã được coi là thành phần tối quan trọng trong mỗi căn nhà, chúng được đặt ở đổi diện lối vào của mỗi gia đình.

Ancient Age

 

The Egyptians decorated the tent with simple materials such as animal skin and carved vase. The Greeks created strict structural principles. Both Greeks and Romans used vases, floor mats, and wall frosts to beautify the space inside.

Gothic style is best known for its vertical height and its use of wall paintings.

The Renaissance period was marked by realistic emotional designs, the walls were covered with colors of velvet rugs, meticulously decorated materials. The painter Michelangelo created his famous painting in the Sistine Chapel.

Baroque art is a period when artists use exaggerated details to create splendid and magnificent rooms with hanging myriad of lamps and mirrors.

Modern interior 

 

The industrial revolution opened up the interior design industry for the human. Interior design magazines are becoming more and more popular.

Most of this period interiors combine Egyptian, Chinese, and Gothic styles with classic elements. The stylish combination of the red seats and curtains has become very popular. The movement of aesthetics has radically reformed to show the challenge of the ranks. Art for art's sake (l'art pour l'art) is the slogan that created the highlights in this period. Inspiration for eclectic lines of interior design theories and styles was created by the elements of different eras juxtaposed.

Beaux interior style has a name originating from France with a majestic style that makes a strong impression that could make viewers must be afraid.

Frank LIoys has created the first success for a modern style since creating peaceful prairie style houses.

The interior design highlights the professionalism. Else de wofe is an interior decoration house with magazine pictures that has spread the eclectic style to the middle class.

Destlul style


 

The Dutch people with Destlul style was created by Dutch artists created by the discovery of harmony and order's ideas.

The international style of interior design flourished in the 1920s. Ludwig Mes Vander Rohe and Walter Groplus are famous names of modern architecture. The design of this period used simplicity, say no to elaborate decorations. Architects favored to choose the simple materials such as glass, iron and concrete.

Art Deco style

 

The ornate Deco style has become popular around the world since the 1930s. It emphasizes charm, sophistication and modern elements such as lines, ỉmpressive colors of patterns.

As the war-resurrected nations, architecture has returned to its time of prosperity. The style "suburban sprawl" (roughly translated as the diffusion of suburban style) refers to houses built and interior designed by their owners. Vinyl is the product of choice for floors.

Since the 21st century, developmental of aviation has increased the speed of information transmission, which promotes a deeper understanding of design. The modern pillars have the mix of many different styles. Movement is similar to high-faluting  and free ideas. The revival of the traditional style is reflected in newly built pillars based on classical principles. The late 1990s witness the strong development of the interior design industry, partly thanks to famous TV shows, such as “Changing Room”.
